Government funding for the arts has been severely curtailed, leaving the arts to find their support within their local communities. Lend us your voice and/or financial support. Giving has its rewards and you can help to keep the Arts and Community Spirit Alive and Healthy.
The going rate for symphony and theatrical performances in the Valdosta area start at about $12.50 per ticket. The Valdosta Choral Guild’s is committed to providing quality performances at a price that anyone can afford. Ticket prices have been only $5.00 for adults for over 10 years, that is why we are primarily patron supported. Contributions of $35 or more are recognized in the program and the website for one full year and receive complimentary tickets to both the spring and fall concerts (see table below).
It takes thousands of dollars to present each concert. Membership dues only provides a couple of hundred dollars and, since we keep ticket prices so low to make our concerts affordable to everyone, that only brings in a few hundred dollars per concert.
There are several contribution categories for this community-wide activity:
Millennium Club $1000 (10 Tickets, each concert)
Benefactor $500 (8 Tickets, each concert)
Sustainer $250 (6 Tickets, each concert)
Patron $100 (4 Tickets, each concert)
Friend $50 (2 Tickets, each concert)
